Taking a tip from Slynyrd and his wonderful pixel art guides, I started developing my own character generation template for sprite-making. This will help me keep the proportions I wish to have in my game and keep all my human figures looking realistic. It was a handy guide, and he has many more on his Patreon page which I am happy to support.

It took me a while to get set up, but now that I have the basic wireframe structure built I should be able to finish it much quicker than it has taken to get to this point. The design elements focus on basic anatomy, so it’s really easy to visualize ahead of time how I want a given figure to look once completed.
