I decided to make this weekend the official launch of my development for Panic Room, which will be my first original game.
Day 001 is actually a little misleading, as there have been many days up until this point spent on writing notes, sketching concepts, and otherwise preparing for the actual development of this game.
I kicked things off by launching Aseprite and got to work designing some basic floor tiles I will use to roughly establish my 2D overhead tilemap in the game.
From there I went on to design a basic Player sprite and an Enemy sprite so I can put them in and work at getting basic gameplay mechanics down.
