I started a new Udemy course today focused on building 2D & 3D games using Unity. My first task was putting together a simple game where zombies roll down a board towards some scoring zones and you use the arrow keys to select one and push them back up before they fall off. Nothing too complex, just some good fundamentals training. One thing I found particularly useful from this exercise was the use of Functions and how to use them a little better. It was something I had already been using, but for whatever reason didn’t really feel like I had a solid grasp on. I now feel a little better using them and, more specifically, setting them up. I also understand referencing other scripts better now too. Good wins from only a couple of hours of tooling around.
